The Lappe Nordic Ski Club is a mostly volunteer based organization. We have over 25 Nordiq Canada qualified volunteer coaches who support our programming. The Jackrabbit Coordinator, Track Attack and Yeti Program Leads are volunteers who receive a small stipend for their work. On staff, we have a Program Manager Brook Latimer, and two paid coaches, Head Coach Eric Bailey and Assistant to Head Coach Katherine Hall. All of our events, both competitive and social are run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We aim to keep our costs as reasonable as possible and in-line with similar programming offered across Canada.
We have an active Board of Directors made up of a committed group of passionate individuals.
Visit our Coaches’ Corner to meet the Club’s coaches and staff. [link to new page]
The cost to participate in programs has several components: Club Membership, Nordiq Canada/XCSO/LSSD Affiliation, Club Program Fees, and Ski Centre Trail Pass (winter), as well as a Volunteer Commitment.

First time program participants and that part of the commitment associated with children in Bunnies, Level 1 and Level 2 are exempt from this volunteer commitment.

Zone4 (registration software) and Credit Card Fees
Are borne by the registrant and are added at the end of the transaction. They cost approximately 3.5% of the total. We can now offer refunds and make program changes, and collect instalments directly onto the credit card on file. This will provide a better user experience and streamline the work of our volunteer Treasurer.
All registration is done online with credit cards only.
Ski Center – Please note that Lappe Ski Centre is not owned by the Ski Club. It is privately owned by the Puiras family.
